Multi Media Filtreler suyun içerdiği askıda katı maddeleri, bulanıklığı ve diğer partikülleri uzaklaştırmak amacı ile kullanılır. Sistem granülometre dereceleri farklı, birden fazla katmanın gövde içine yerleştirilmesi ile oluşturulur.
Multi Media Filtrelerin, katı maddeleri sudan ayırmasının yanı sıra ikinci bir görevi kendisinden sonra konumlandırılacak olan ekipmanı korumasıdır. Filtrasyonu iyi yapılmış bir sistemde diğer arıtma filtrelerine gidecek olan yük minimize edileceğinden ekipmanların ömrü uzatılmış ve verimliliği artırılmış olacaktır.
Multi Media Filtreler, proses suyu ve içme suyu arıtımında ön arıtma olarak veya atıksu arıtma sistemlerinden çıkan arıtılmış suyun bulanıklılığının giderilmesinde de kullanılırlar.
Multi Media Filtreler, filtrasyon ihtiyacınızı karşılayacak çeşitli kapasiteler ve hızlar için en uygun çözümü sunmaktadır. İşletim rahatlığı ve servis desteği ile optimum süre çalışırlar. Multi media filtrenin verimliliğini etkileyen parametreler ; filtre gövdesinin iyi yataklanması ve yüzey hızının doğru seçilmiş olmasıdır. İyi yataklanmış ve yüzey hızı kirlilik yüküne uygun seçilmiş bir Multi Media Filtrede filtrasyon hassasiyeti 15-20 mikronun altındadır.
Servis periyodunda, süzülerek filtre katmanları arasında tutulan partiküller, geri yıkama periyodunda deşarj edilerek, filtre malzemesinin temizlenerek medianın tazelenmesi sağlanır.
